Every once in a while, Lunchtime.org.uk holds a podcast in which we talk about weird stuff we found on the internet, discuss video games and bicker amongst ourselves. You can download all the episodes for free below, or check us out on iTunes, Youtube, or by good ‘ole RSS.

Gentlemen Discussing Outer Wilds

M. Richard Talley, Catsman, ShinyMissingno, Woolyshambler and Specs got together to discuss the game that is Outer Wilds. It’s very fun and very clever. I would advise NOT LISTENING TO THIS PODCAST if you are planning to play it. It is best experienced almost completely blind (but with a nudge here and there from friends, to get you back on track when you get lost).

This podcast features music from the game’s soundtrack, as well as clips from the Noclip Documentary, which you should watch if you like to find out about game design.

The next episode will be a more general GDV. This wasn’t planned to be a special, but then we talked for over 2 hours about this game.

This month on Gentlemen Discussing Vidya, we discuss our games of the decade, the Sulley Cinematic Universe, Princess Diana (again), the Sonic Theodore Hedgehog Movie, Doom Eternal and Coronavirus.

We had some connection issues, leading to some wobble and stutter and MD’s mic is the worst thing I’ve ever seen audio-visualised. I’ve done my best to clean the audio up. If you notice anything that sounds completely wrong (such as an extremely loud and sharp beeping noise) then please let me know so that I can reupload this. I’ve done my best to listen to this through again before export but who knows what might happen when it does a final render.
