Like a book club, but with video games.

Episode 75 – Pokémon NO!

I apologise to that one listener who doesn’t like Pokémon because we talk about Sword and Shield at length in this podcast. We also play Specs’ revamped quiz, discuss Shenmue 3 and Half Life: Alyx and strangely enough, we don’t talk about Fallout 76. I hope you all like the new intro theme.

People who talked in this episode: Specs, Shinymissingno, Woolyshambler, RSN_Bran and Mooglepies.

  • 00:00:00 Intro
  • 00:02:29 Pokémon talk
  • 00:41:05 Quiz – Riddles of the Spink
  • 01:11:57 Shenmue 3 talk
  • 01:20:35 News including Sonic Movie, Half Life Alyx and Google Stadia
  • 01:32:48 Outro

Catsman wasn’t here so we didn’t talk about Socks the Cat. That means it’s still our book-club game. Watch our playthrough here. We also didn’t talk comments but we’ll do that again at some point.

No Spoints for guessing the segment marker sounds this time.

I don’t think that we’ll be recording in December so the next podcast is likely to be a live recording from Catsman’s house. I might put some nonsense out as a non-denominational holiday gift though.

This episode was edited by Specs. Maybe multitrack editing isn’t so bad.

Jesus Christ that is almost 40 minutes of talking about Pokemon. Why are you still talking about Pokemon 40 minutes into the podcast. The podcast is literally 50 minutes long for me now. Stop talking about Pokemon.

Thank you for ending the Pokemon talk after 40 minutes.

Specs, you need a whole round of the conjoined clues where one answer is a video game and one answer is some random song from 50 years ago.

I’ll consider adding that round in future, Bloom. Maybe I’ll just have some random pop trivia relating to old music, film, books and opera to really diversify our listener-base.

There is a listener base?

How many people on average download an episode?

On December 22, 2019 at 1:59 pm

We have 131 subscribers to the RSS podcast feed according to my podcast app. YouTube versions of episodes get 50-60 views each. We’re looking at about 200 maximum but at least 50 minimum listeners.

Catsman may have more accurate numbers.

Catsman says that this is about accurate. Probably somewhere close to 200 people listening.
