July 28th, 3PM BST\10AM EDT\7AM PDT\4PM eurotime. This is what Wolfram says, but these times might be off by an hour or two due to daylight savings. Make sure to double-check what the time is in your local time, and if you give me corrections I will alter that.
Starting with this podcast, I will be limiting the maximum number of participants in podcasts to 7 people. I feel like the quality of the podcasts has suffered simply because there are too many people trying to talk at once, and often the quieter of us get drowned out or interrupted and don’t get a chance to speak. If more than 7 people join then I’ll see if we can work out amongst ourselves who has the best chemistry, and potentially kick some people off. Sorry in advance for this but it’s my hope that it will make for a better podcast.
The gentlemen discuss Elevator Source, death row, T-Rexes, porn aliases, Fire Emblem, huge raccoon nuts, and Double Fine’s budgeting. Featuring an intro by Ryan Drees, voice of the greatest fictional hot dog man in the world.
The Book Club game for next episode is Super Mario Land 2: Six Golden Coins! Please contribute with your thoughts on this badass game.

Please reset your passwords as soon as Twitch.tv comes back online. Your stream key has also been reset – I don’t know if you will have been sent a new one via email or whether I will have to manually add everyone back on the list. If it turns out the latter is true, you can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will send one out right away.
Twitch’s official story is that a mishap with their CDN provider caused sensitive information (such as passwords and stream keys) to be cached and sent to people’s browsers by mistake. There are several things wrong with this story:
1) Why would the CDN provider and twitch be making huge, sweeping changes to the live site without first testing them on a testing server?
2) Why would the CDN provider be caching stream keys when they’re used exclusively in software such as Xsplit and OBS?
The answer: they’re bullshitting us. They were very obviously hacked. Thanks Twitch. Apparently the chaos that ensued last night is proof enough of that.
PS: Elevator source, this sunday at 3PMBST\10AM EDT\7AM PDT\4PM eurotime.

Hi all. Quick little update: firstly, the podcast recording time has been moved to 3PM gmt (that’s back from 5:30, so 2.5 hours earlier). I asked Happyman about it and he didn’t say anything so I assume it’s fine.
Second: site glitches. As you might have heard, we recently hit the twitch.tv limit for stream keys. This isn’t a huge problem, as there are a lot of stream keys that aren’t currently used, but it does mean I’m having to have a clearout of stream keys. If I mistakenly remove one that you still want to use, then all you have to do is email and I’ll send you a new one (and most likely apologize for the inconvenience).
Additionally, the site has recently stopped sending out emails. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT CAUSED THIS I DIDN’T TOUCH ANYTHING I SWEAR. A bunch of accounts got made and the system didn’t send out randomly generated passwords, so I told users to reset their passwords, and then it didn’t send a password reset email either. I’ve been fumbling around trying to fix it, but I’m on the verge of just doing all the password stuff manually. This would be a pain but I really have no idea what the issue is. If your app is in limbo because of all this then I must apologize. I’ve also been rushed off my feet with the E3 as of late.
Did you know that the GLA has a twitter account? Look, we tweet things with it. I have no interest in twitter personally, but if you do, then shoot me an email (email@example.com) and I’ll hook you up to it, and you can tweet away videogame things to your heart’s content. Preferably get into a few fights with internet celebrities.
This week – Catsman, Happyman, Jillbore, LordRamal, MD122, Mix Master Mao, Mooglepies, Nooblet, Seanie and Tacoman discuss the Xbox One, Monster Party, Curiosity, E3 predictions and blood pools. Plus, a sensual L4D fanfiction.

Edit: alright drippyrods, the podcast was moved forward unexpectedly because as it turns out Sunday afternoon was very convenient for all of us. Sorry if you wanted to do the podcast and weren’t available at that time.
So, how about, at 6PM gmt on tuesday, we do something fun? A game of poker, TF2, something along the lines? Hop into the mumble if you’re interested.
