Like a book club, but with video games.

Next podcast book-club game = Liero

Quake is over and it’s time for a real time knock-off of Worms. We’ll be playing Liero, which means “earthworm” in Finnish. It was originally for MSDOS and was playable by two people on the same keyboard. We’ll be playing this version: http://www.openlierox.net/ because it allows us to play online together. Our first session is planned for tomorrow (04/08/19) in the afternoon (BST starting some time after 15:00). There will be a stream and we’ll export it to youtube.

If you want to join in with us then join our discord at https://discord.gg/rpWaRYn and we can give you the details. Be warned though, Woolyshambler told me that when he was in high school, he was the best Liero player in the world. He was quite drunk when he told me that, but he often is and I trust the guy.

We’ve recorded a podcast recently and it’ll be going up at some point. We don’t have a date set for recording the next one yet.

We’ll likely play Liero and other games at similar times on Sunday afternoons if anyone is interested in joining in future.

YOUR NAME, SIR

Cool, you seem to enjoy it. Although you missed on the best part which is taking missiles and bombs and lowering the reload speed to 0%, then riding around on your chainguns like a jetpack and bombarding the map with mines or spiked balls. It’s utter chaos.
